Jonathan ~ Eliminated but will not be forgotten!

Yes Jonathan's tour with SYTYCD Season 5 is over. We all are upset that the judges didn't feel he did enough to stay. We all beg to differ but it doesn't matter at this point. What's done is done. Jonathan did a wondeful job on the show and had lots of competition. It is unfortunate he wasn't one on the Preliminaries being one of the focused dancers. He himself didn't know he was going to make it. He tried out and just kept making it to the next round till he made it on the show. The Platero family is very proud of him and all of his friends and family from all over is definately happy of his accomplishments. It's not easy being on a reality series.
This is my take on this. We can blame it on many things but we shouldn't, it's TV, Ratings, that decide on what stays on the show and what doesn't. I thought about all the things that I could of done better to help him out. I tried to think about what could others have done. I can't help what others do and what they didn't do to help, I only know that I gave my 110% each week to try to support him. As many of you did too. Votes and TV time is essential and as much as we wanted him to stay, it's obvious that TV didn't think Jon had enough to keep viewers coming. That's my opinion. It's what I evaluate from the situation. Even if we had every single Salsero/a, everyone in all the Central FL dance schools, his HS, etc etc. Would of it made a difference? Maybe? Maybe not. In the end, it just wasn't enough.
Jonathan has a gift and I truely believe that his journey didn't end. It's only the beginning of a wonderful career in dancing & much more. His family has so much to be proud of and so much more to come to them as they see him progress into his life. He has shown many of us that dreams can come true if you follow them and persue them. I say it over and over because it's the truth. We all want to become something at one point of our lives. Become a Professional Athlete, Dancer, Movie Star, or maybe a Doctor, or Lawyer. Those that go for it can acheive it. It's like in the movie with Will Smith. "In the Pursuit of Happiness" he went for something that no one felt he could do. It's that little piece of ambition in your mind that makes you want it so much. You'll do anything to get it. Those are the people that acheive and make dreams come true.
We all have it in us. It's how do we get it to work for us. :)
That's all I have now. I will keep ya'll posted about Jonathan's endevours when they come. :) Thanks to everyone for their support.

U be the Judge.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVxNzIW1ZnY
Here is the video of Jonathan & Karla's 3rd routine. Was it their best. I don't think it was but was it as bad as Nigel stated. I don't think so either. The comments were very harsh, but in the end it's up to everyone that voted. I can't imagine to learn so many different styles and be able to conquer them all. This one just wasn't his "Swagger". Hopefully with votes he will be safe from the competition.
Please watch tonight's Show at 9pm on FOX.
That's it for me.

Something to remind ourselves about life!
WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND
One day a man saw a old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pinto was still sputtering when he approached her.
Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry. He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you. He said, 'I'm here to help you, ma'am.=2 0Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.' Well, all she had was a flat tire,But for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt. As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped.
Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way. He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, 'And think of me..' He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight. A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her Feet for the whole day couldn't erase.. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude.. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan .After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door... She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin. There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: 'You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.' Under t he napkin were four more $100 bills. Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard.... She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, 'Everything' s going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.' There is an old saying...... 'What goes around comes around.' Today I sent you this story, and I'm asking you to pass it on. Let this light shine. Don't delete it, don't return it. Simply, pass this on to a friend Good friends are like stars....You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.

Jonathan is Safe and MOVES ON!
Jonathan and Karla move on the Next week episode of SYTYCD! Stay tuned for more NEWS!
CONGRATS TO JONATHAN!!! WOO HOO!
CONGRATS TO JONATHAN!!! WOO HOO!
Jonathan Platero ~ Talent soars as the world comments on him.
As MSNBC comments on Jonathan and Karla's performance. He gains a bigger following because now he is a force to be reckoned with. He has been put in the AOL's Best Television TOP 5 Moments!

People are wondering how did this young man who dances salsa learned to do this. It's called determination, and preparation. Jonathan did go to take classes of salsa, but he also took contemporary, jazz, etc. He did his homework to take dance classes that where going to help him learn. He is a excellent choreographer and did many routines with his partner of 4 years, Yahaira Sierra, and when he competed and he did all the choreography. His creative mind and competitive drive gave him the ability to do what he wanted to do. Now he is on National TV showing the world, he can dance.
One can't pinpoint a single school or a single dance genre to make people understand what got him there. Because it was his will to learn and his passion to dance that got him up there. It took him 5 years to get him on that show. He was 16 and just learning salsa, now he's 21 and he is learning more and more types of dance and is becoming a known dancer in the SYTYCD show.
That's my opinion. I will always look at Jon, from the first time I seen him perform. Sweet, determined and unafraid to show people what he is made of. He is made of heart and soul of dance. Salsa is in his heart, but dancing is in his blood, and performing is in his soul.
That's it for today. Stay tuned for more. :)
Jonathan & Karla's Performance ~ Amazing
Yesterday's performance left not only the judges wow'ed. I hope it left America in a "WOW" state of mind. Jon & Karla did a fantastic job last night. Song was perfect, feelings and emotions were on point, but mostly Jon & Karla danced as if they had been dancing for years.
It's amazing when you can find chemistry with someone when your dancing. They did and it was awesome to see. Judges were wowed, including Mary telling Jonathan that he did better in this performance than his own Genre. Nigel was also very impressed and told them that from being at the bottom last week that this week they are up in the top. Lil C loved the balance and thought is twas a great performance. Now, we have to see if America sees it the same. If you missed it last night here is a Youtube video version to watch.

Time to think about what's the next step.
I'm here thinking on what we can do here on our side to help our friend Jonathan out. He is so thankful for everyone that is supporting him and he is just very fortunate to have another chance to hopefully show not only the judges but to the rest of the fans of SYTYCD that he can really dance.
I hope this week he gets a dance style that he can excell and just blow everyone away. I can't wait to see that. It's funny how the world works and gives all of us blessings. I can't dance like Jonathan does, but I have been blessed to meet and get to know this person and see him grow through the years. I've been very lucky with many things and I may not be a wealthy person, but I'm rich in memories which when I have grand kids I definately have stories and pictures to show them how "hip" grand ma is. :)
As you see Jon's pictures of his dancing past, he has many hats he has worn. Although you see a lot of his salsa videos on you tube. He has also some other dance styles he has learned through the years. Plus being a gymnast is a good thing to have when your learning all the creative styles of dance.
I can't wait this Wednesday to see Jonathan again and see what he has up his sleeve. That's it for now.
Here is a motto I live by: Make a Difference, Create the Experience.
Good luck my friend. Everyone have a awesome weekend! See you next week on my blogspot! :)

SYTYCD~ Jonathan Platero stays!

Hello everyone!
Seeing the show last night I was shocked that Jonathan was in the last 3 slots. It was very sad, and I could not help to think what Jon's mother was going through. She is there watching her son dance and with all the hope in the world for a second it could be all over. They would go home in the 1st round. In the end he stayed and it was a tear jerker for me because I know Jonathan can dance and prove himself. He just needed this opportunity to do it, and he got it THANK GOD!
One thing that is not in his favor is he needs votes. He needs people to take the time and not just vote 1 or 2 times. We need them to vote till they can't vote no more. We need everyone that knows Jon to vote, support and know that if it were them he would do it for them too.
Jon's mom called me and we talked about how he was just so happy he was able to stay but he was very scared that they would tell him to go home. As a mother, it hurts to see your son hurt, scared or suffering. Especially if you can't be there to help them. We as mothers are protectors and we do what ever it takes to keep our kids from any of that. As much as she wanted to hug her child after the show she could not. She only got to talk to him and she saw everyone give Jon a hug and congratulated him that he got to stay. It was enough for her to see that people were there helping him cope with just happened. It was enough for her to know he was going to be okay.
All I can say at this point is if we can help out please reach out to your family members, co workers, friends, anyone you know in the media and let them know about our friend Jonathan and see if they will help out by giving him some TV Exposure. Whatever you can do.
In other news, Jeanine from SYTYCD did stay and she is the niece of a friend of mine Franky BTS. She did a great job and I applaude her for her performance and congrats on her also making it to the next round.
That's it for today.
Stay tuned for more info on Jonathan.

SYTYCD ~ Jonathan Platero's dancer partner and longtime friend talks on Fox's local news!

Today was a awesome day because Yahaira Sierra, dancer partner and longtime friend of Jonathan Platero was on the Local Orlando FOX 35 news. She was asked some questions about Jonathan and asking what she thinks will be his future with the show.
You can see the link on: http://http://www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/mornings/061109dancer_partner_visits_station
She talks about the show, her personal opinion of his performance, and they asked her why she didn't tryout. Check out the answers on this clip. :)
I was blessed to take her to the studio and she was very nervous but she did what she had to do and we are all proud of her. Jon's mother called just after the show to talk to her and it was awesome. We are all very proud of her, especially Jonathan. So it was a great start to the day! Tonight watch the results and see who will be eliminated. Hope you casted your vote last night!
I did. :)
That's it from me. Become a fan of Jonathan at http://www.facebook.com/pages/JONATHAN-PLATERO/185417660426?ref=nf
Thanks again and remember dreams only come true when you set your mind to your goal and do everything to achieve it.

Tonight on FOX SYTYCD at 9pm EST ~ Jon Platero

Hey Everybody,
It's crazy that how 2 weeks can change someone's life. That has happened to Jonathan Platero. Tonight the show will debut 20 finalists and 2 will not continue. You can only imagine the pressure to those dancers to know that you can go home. Although they all accomplished what many dancers only dream of doing. It's still a competition and everyone is there to win.
Jon's mother is in LA and called me and told me how she got there safe and she can't wait to see the show. It's amazing that a few years ago I was at their house and he was dancing and we just talked about how far one can go. Now he's on the program that made him decide to start dancing. His mother must be so proud. That has got to be one of the most incredible feelings to have. Knowing your child set their mind to do something and actually making it happen. It's got to be mind blowing and you get the sense of calmness because as a mother you can say. "I've done my best to raise a good kid and he's persuing his dreams."
I also talked to one of Jon's dance partners, Yahaira Sierra, she happens to also be my best friend and she tells me that Jon feels good about everything and at the same time he is anxious and nervous. In talking to her you would think she is on the show and about to dance. ;)~ It's all out of friendship and knowing that your friend is doing what he always wanted to do. She is so proud of him and just wants him to do well. We are just on edge to see tonight what the outcome is. :)
As for myself, i'm just amazed on how everything is going so fast. I wish I could go and see a show. That would be the ultimate thing. You don't get chances like that, how many people you know that get on a major TV show and you can go and see them? Not many. I've been blessed to know Jon and get to see him do some amazing performances. Now I can see him on TV and be like "I know him". How about that.
That's all for now and I will continue to give you information on where to call or where to vote online. Stay tuned for more on Jonathan Platero's road to #1!

Access Hollywood ~ Jonathon Platero
Salsero own Jonathan Platero makes Top 20 in SYTYCD season 5

Jonathan Platero from Sanford, FL has made it to the Top 20 in So You Think You Can Dance season 5.
I've known Jonathan for over 4 years ever since he started dancing salsa. He is a very talented individual with a desire to persue his dreams. He always dreamed to be on SYTYCD and tried last season and did not make the Top 40. That didn't stop him, he packed up and left everything to persue his dream. Moved to NYC to become a dancer. Now he has the chance to see how far he can go. Can he do it, will he do it? How far will Jonathan go? Who knows all I know is that when one has dreams we can do 2 things. Wonder if it will ever come true, or make it come true. Jon has this chance. I will be speaking to his family, closest friends and him to find out how he is doing and will be posting pics, information on where to call and vote, show times and anything that pertains to Jon and his adventure to the top. Stay tuned and remember to vote for Jonathan Platero!
